Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio Launches ále by Alessandra Clothing Collection


Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio is used to modeling the high-fashion threads of some of the biggest designers in the world. But now, the 32-year-old Victoria’s Secret model is taking the fashion world by storm while slipping into her own clothing line ále by Alessandra.

“The line is based on how I dress—it has to be versatile, sexy and sensual, and very feminine,” she explained to Elle of the collection of breezy maxi dresses, printed beach cover-ups, and flirty tops. “Every day, I am in a different place in the world with different weather and I need different outfits. I need pieces that can go from the beach to the office and then to a bar.”

With prices starting at $60 and topping out at $270, ále by Alessandra will be sold exclusively at super-boho boutique Planet Blue.

“I cannot think of a better place to launch the apparel for my brand,” Alessandra said of Planet Blue in a press release. “I have been a fan of Planet Blue since I moved to California, and the brand’s authentic bohemian beach vibe is the perfect backdrop for my very first collection.”

Described as a “Brazil-meets-Malibu-by-way-of-Europe style,” the bohemian-inspired label is available online now.

“This is not a hobby for me. I’ve been a fashion model for 15 years and designing is just an extension of my career,” Ambrosia told WWD. “I still plan on modeling lingerie, but at the same time this is a business transition that I plan to have around for a long time.”
