The Jason “DJ Threat” Campbell Foundation & Mixx Cares
To enhance the lives of young people entering the music entertainment industry by providing for them financial and moral support as well as an introduction to the working environment of the music entertainment industry.
The Jason “DJ Threat” Campbell Foundation was founded in 2002, after the tragic death of Jason “DJ Threat” Campbell. At just 23 years old “The Turntable Assassin- DJ Threat” lived his dream at one of New York’s top radio station’s and was a founding member of the well known Turntable Assassins and Heavy Hitter DJ crews.
Throughout his career he not only showed people his love for music but, made them love it as well. His famous slogan “There’s a contract out for your ears!” truly expressed his determination for being a success in the music business. Threat quickly became a legend in his own home town, and always should his love for his community.
The Jason “DJ Threat” Foundation continues to live that dream by giving back to the community. Each year the foundation hosts an annual food drive and toy drive, to benefit less than fortunate families within the community, as well as the annual Turntable Assassin’s vs. Heavy Hitter’s Softball game to raise scholarship money for high school seniors perusing a college degree in music.
