Frequently counted among the sexiest women in the world, Mayra Veronica is a Cuban-American model whose international fame led to a solo recording career. Born Mayra Verónica Aruca Rodríguez on August 20, 1980, in Havana, Cuba, she moved to the United States at age five with her mother. Her father, a popular singer for the latin rock band Los Dada, joined the family a year later, and the family settled in a Cuban neighborhood of Miami, FL. After years of dance, acting, and beauty pageantry, Veronica established herself as a model, first on the Spanish-language television channel Univision; then in the pages as well as on the covers of  magazines such as FHM, Shape, and Maxim; and also in a variety of National and International television commercials, including one alongside Lebron James. Well established as an internationally famous model celebrated for her  appeal, and following in her father’s footsteps Veronica embarked on a solo recording career in 2006 with the independently released full-length album Vengo con To’. Featuring production by Kike Santander and Roy Tavaré that  was re-released in 2007  by Universal Motown Records with bonus material and a new cover image. While Vengo con To’ failed to spawn a major hit single, Veronica later got her first taste of commercial success as a singer with the hit single “Es Tan Dificil” in 2008 which topped the charts on the Latin Billboard charts.

Growing up listening mostly to pop music and writing poetry, Veronica began working with Pop producer Eddie Galan on English Pop songs. Her first release was the single “If You Wanna Fly” which landed her on the top of five Billboard Charts in the United States including top sales. The second single “Freak Like Me” got her a number three position on the Billboard Charts, and also impacted top numbers on various International Billboard Charts. She was also on a Billboard Cover for the fourth of July representing our American Military. Veronica is the spokesperson for the USO, Unicef and for Bettie Page Clothing , for her unique feminine pin up style, and has toured with the USO in over 8 world tours alongside the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff performing for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and President George W. Bush. Currently Mayra Veronica is getting ready to release her new single  “Party All the Time”  which is expected to be the new Women’s anthem, produced by Grammy Winning producers Play N Skillz as part of her debut english album “Saint nor Sinner”.  Mayra is also working on another spanish album which is currently being recorded in Cuba and Germany with The Sons of the Buena Vista Social Club, Mayito Rivera, Los Van Van and many more Latin all stars. Mayra’s poetry and writing skills are ever present in her music as she writes mostly inspirational lyrics and loves writing about women’s issues.
