John Garcia, known professionally as J Rythm is one of Los Angeles’ leading DJ’s amongst the air waves and the club scene.  Music is what motivates him and the crowd and his audience is what keeps him spinning.  He can be heard weekly on one of LA’s top radio stations Latino 96.3 and spinning music around Southern California’s premier hot spots.

J Rythm, a So Cal native, got his first break spinning at a club in Hollywood.  Since then the name J Rythm has become a household name throughout the elite Hollywood club scene.

In the summer of 2006, J caught wind of a new radio station coming to Los Angeles; Latino 96.3 fm.  He auditioned for the station and was selected immediately as a weekend mixer.  4 years later, J Rythm is now the Mix Show Coordinator for the station, an On-Air Personality DJ with his own timeslot; 7pm - 10pm Monday – Saturday.

In 2010, many rewards came for the hard working DJ.  He released 2 mix-tapes entitled It’s the Rythm Maaaaan! Vol. 1 & 2.  He produced a mix-tape with DJ Mingo for Metro PCS called Metro Master Mix, which included exclusive remixes by J Rythm.  World known leader in DJ gear, Numark, approached him to be a spokesperson for their new product, the Numark V7.  Next in line followed Jagermeister, offering J Rythm a sponsorship deal.

All these accomplishments came with acclaim. At the 2010 Latin Mixx Awards in New York, he was presented with the 2010 West Coast Latin Mixx DJ of the Year award. “I’ve never won an award before,” says the Rythm Man, “I couldn’t believe it. It feels really good when you know your hard work is not going unnoticed.”

2011 marks a new day for Mr. Rythm, with new visions in the horizon. He has teamed up with world re-known music producer Ricky Luna to create the dynamic producer duo, GruvStar. Not only producing original tracks for upcoming and major label artist alike, but also remixing songs by some of today’s hottest Latin artist such as Daddy Yankee, Alexis y Fido, Tito El Bambino, and Prince Royce to name a few.
